Hillcrest Health Services is looking for an experienced and organized RN with excellent communication skills to join our On Call Hospice team!
This is a full time position being on call 7 days, then off 7 days. Call is 5pm through 8am and begins on Monday through to the following Monday. You will have a second 7 on/7 off RN working as your teammate with additional support from the Night Team for Continuous Care, Medical Director, Social Services, and the Administrator On-Call.

What does a day in the life look like?
- Answer calls in a timely fashion with accurate triaging and professionalism to patient/family/facility.
- Assess the physical, functional, psychosocial, and nutritional status of assigned patients in a systematic and continuous manner.
- Make initial visits to patient/family to explain hospice services, evaluates patient for appropriateness, admits patient, and initiates plan of care with authorization of the attending physician and medical director.
- Participates in service line meetings as required.
What should I have to be considered for this position?
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
- At least three years of experience as a nurse.
- At least two years of experience in hospice or home care setting preferred.
- Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a Registered Nurse.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable means of transportation and carry current automobile insurance.
- BLS certification by the AHA required.
