What does a day in the life look like?
- Completes patient treatments in accordance with established plan of care. Educates patients and their family members as needing.
- Completes accurate charging of services and provides documentation to support the charges and provision of the therapy services within guidelines.
- Manages each patient's plan of care effectively by timely interdisciplinary collaboration and communication with physician involvement as needed.
- Initiates regular communication back to the supervising physical therapist about patient care issues, departmental concerns, and specific ideas affecting goals and treatment plan development.
What should I have to be considered?
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program required.
- Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska or compact state as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- At least two years of experience performing as a PTA in a long term care, post-acute, hospital, home care or similar setting required.
